How to change simulator

I just downloaded a project from web and i got following error-

There is no sdk with specified name or path “iPhoneos3.1…”. (you may got error according to your Xcode version)

Here is the solution:

1. Select the main project file in xcode (main sheet which is the name of your project under the groups and files column to the left-top of your project).

2. Then select the info button (blue circled “I” next to build and go).

3. Go to the build panel and under the archetectures section go to the base sdk category and select iphone simulator according to your current Xcode version and close.

4. Close your project window.

5. Reopen the project Build and Go……

(Big Nerd Ranch Guides) (Paperback) The first edition of this book was aadelry superb.One of the very few programming books that are both easy to read, have interesting, fun and useful exercises, and lead one to understand not only the language and frameworks, but also the underlying reasoning and concepts.Maybe the best programming book I’ve ever read. I just bought the second edition, even though I don’t really need it anymore: I’ve finished the first book and know how to solve my problems in objective-c, where to find further information, and what questions to ask. But I wanted it as an eBook, I was curious how much has changed, and I wanted to show my gratitude.If you’re wondering whether to buy it as an ebook or on paper, I’d suggest the paper edition. I think it has better layout, and the index is good enough that you don’t really need the search feature an ebook provides.Note: This book is much more suited for working through from the beginning than just looking stuff up. Do yourself a favor, start at the beginning, and do the quick exercises, even if you’ve aadelry hacked together your first Hello World in Objective-C. There is a lot of very useful background information you’d otherwise miss, that will make your life much easier later on.NOTE: iOS 5 is due to be released in the fall (or so). Some may think they should wait and then get books about iOS 5, because this one might be obsolete by then. Let me tell you, don’t bother waiting.   2. Amen to that. I’m a C++ programmer (for last 4 years) and have used Visual Studio for a long time. The laggnaue itself takes a *bit* of getting used to but that doesn’t seem like the problem.The problem is that I have no idea HOW to do anything. What classes are called, how to use the classes. Everything seems like you have to override in hundreds of custom h/m files. It all just seems to be the opposite way to doing things in C++ with Windows libraries.For example, I’m used to creating a Window type object and then calling functions on that object to add things and manipulate it. Instead it seems its all based on callback type class overriding which just sucks where you have to subclass and override the functions that add data. If I want to use a library, it should have objects which do their own stuff and I call functions to add *my* stuff to it and then it just handles it all.I should be able to go:tblView = [[UITableViewController alloc] init]; [window addSubView:[tblView view]];and then when I want to add things just go:[tblView addCell:@”Eggs”];[tvlView addCell:@”Potatoes”];But instead, theres a bunch of cellAtRowOfIndexPath obscure functions that I have to implement and return cell contents and whatnot. Then theres a function override which you have to return the amount of objects you apparently have in your table.Ugh, and not too mention that I can’t seemingly get far into Apple’s iPhone Dev center without the authorisation login from just looping endlessly.It all assumes you have used XCode, Interface Builder and whatnot from the beginning.
